Carly Newman concentrates her practice on a range of family law issues, among them: dissolutions involving complex property division, child and spousal support; parentage and custody actions; adoptions; and negotiating and drafting pre- and post-marital agreements.
Ms. Newman earned her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2010. During law school she was a participant in the 2009 Civil Justice Mediation Clinic, and she served as a Teaching Assistant in Legal Writing & Research, for which she earned a Certificate of Excellence. Ms. Newman received an honorable mention award for Best Brief in Moot Court, as well as CALI-Excellence for the Future and Witkin awards in Legal Writing and Research. During her last year of law school, Ms. Newman worked as a Family Law ADR Extern for the San Mateo Court.
Ms. Newman is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Family Law section of the State Bar of California. She is also a volunteer family law attorney for the Bar Association of San Francisco's Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP).
