Diana Lauretta Leonida is a senior associate in the Family Law practice group. Ms. Leonida focuses her practice on all aspects of family law matters, including child and spousal support; property division involving stock options and privately held companies; and high conflict child custody matters involving move-away and international custody issues. Ms. Leonida was certified as a Family Law Specialist by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization on July 1, 2017.
Prior to joining Sideman & Bancroft, she was an associate attorney at a long-standing law firm, where she practiced family law and was lead chair on several trials involving issues of school choice, domestic abuse, custodial timeshare, and support modification. Ms. Leonida was a Research Attorney and Staff Attorney for the Unified Family Court at the San Francisco Superior Court from 2004 through 2011, working directly with judicial officers in those capacities, as well as serving self‐represented litigants seeking assistance with their family law matters.
Ms. Leonida graduated with a degree in history from the University of San Francisco in 2000, and with highest honors from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2004, where she received the Witkin Award for Excellence in Writing & Research, Torts, and Sales and the CALI Award for Property, Civil Procedure, and Corporations. While in law school, Ms. Leonida was a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Katherine J. Feinstein (ret.). She published an article on second parent adoptions for law review and also served as a research editor for the Golden Gate University Law Review.
She is a member of the San Francisco Bar Association Family Law Section, Alameda County Bar Association Family Law Section and the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists.
