Linda McCall has specialized in estate planning and trust and estate administration for more than 30 years. Her experience includes counseling individuals in all aspects of gift, estate and generation-skipping tax planning, in planning to accomplish clients’ charitable goals and in preparing marital property agreements and agreements between cohabitants. She also has considerable expertise in a wide range of post-death proceedings, from petitions to confirm ownership of assets to the administration of complex trusts and probate estates, and in modifying and terminating irrevocable trusts.

Before joining Sideman & Bancroft, Ms. McCall was the principal in the Law Offices of Linda L. McCall and a partner at Greene, Radovsky, Maloney, Share & Hennigh LLP.

Professional Involvement

Ms. McCall is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC); she is a member of ACTEC’s California Membership Committee and served on its Task Force on Estate Planning in the 21st Century. Ms. McCall was appointed as a member and advisor of the executive committee of the State Bar of California Trusts and Estates Section, where she was assistant editor and editor of California Trusts and Estates Quarterly. She is also past chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Estate Planning and Probate Section.

Ms. McCall has spoken and written on a wide range of topics in the trusts and estates field. For many years she helped present the annual course on Recent Developments in Estate Planning and Administration for California Continuing Education of the Bar and more recently CEB’s periodic course on Estate Planning for the Blended Family. Her publications include “QPRTS for Co-Tenancy Interests – Do They Work?,” California Trusts and Estates Quarterly, Fall 2000, and “AB 760 – Legal Recognition of a Child Conceived Posthumously,” California Trusts and Estates Quarterly, Fall 1995.

Ms. McCall has served on the board of directors of the Calaveras Community Foundation since 2007 and is currently its president. She is a past member and president of the San Francisco Bach Choir.
