Nicholas Shen is an associate in the Intellectual Property practice group, the Litigation and Appeals practice group, and the Brand Integrity and Innovation Group. Mr. Shen focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property litigation in federal and state courts and related dispute resolution before arbitration tribunals. Mr. Shen also advises clients on brand protection issues, including trademark registration and counseling, anti-counterfeiting enforcement, and discount fraud investigations.
Prior to joining Sideman & Bancroft, Mr. Shen worked in the computer technology and semiconductor industries, and developed expertise in cloud-based database architecture, machine learning, consumer and enterprise hardware design, and computer and mobile software.
Mr. Shen earned his law degree from Santa Clara University, receiving a High Technology Law Certificate with honors distinction. While in law school, Mr. Shen received the Emery Academic Merit Scholarship, competed in Honors Moot Court and Trial Team, contributed to the High Technology Law Journal, and served as Student Intellectual Property Law Association Vice President.
Mr. Shen’s native language is English. He is also professionally fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
