June 2014

Sideman & Bancroft LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Anne Freeman as the newest member of the Family Law Group. Ms. Freeman, who was previously an attorney with the distinguished family law firm of Whiting, Fallon, Ross & Abel LLP, joins Sideman’s San Francisco office as an Associate.

Ms. Freeman’s practice encompasses all aspects of family law. She counsels clients on divorce, legal separation, nullity, child custody, child/spousal/family support, complex asset division, and pre‐divorce counseling and planning. She also has experience negotiating and drafting pre-marital, post-marital and cohabitation agreements. As a certified mediator, Ms. Freeman also frequently counsels clients on creative alternative dispute solutions through mediation and settlement negotiations.

“We’re confident Anne will have an immediate, positive impact on our ability to serve our clients,” said Family Law Partner Monica Mazzei. “The breadth of Anne’s practice, combined with her diverse professional experience, makes her ideally suited to assume a comprehensive approach to the often tough and emotional issues our clients face.”

Prior to working at Whiting, Fallon, Ross & Abel LLP, Ms. Freeman represented clients in EEOC mediations involving alleged discrimination and mediated lawsuits in San Francisco’s small claims courts. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Freeman worked as a management consultant at HayGroup, Inc., where she designed compensation programs and provided leadership and organizational development consulting for Fortune 500 companies. She also worked as a director at a successful Internet start‐up.

Ms. Freeman earned her J.D. in 2006 from the University of San Francisco School of Law, and her A.B. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1999. She is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy.
