SAN FRANCISCO, April 4, 2011 – Sideman & Bancroft LLP announced today that Jim Shore, a former prosecutor, general counsel and community leader, has joined the firm as a partner. Mr. Shore was previously General Counsel at Page Mill Properties where he also served as a member of the investment and management committees.

Mr. Shore served as Deputy District Attorney in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties for 20 years, during which time he litigated hundreds of cases and was the lead prosecutor on more than 50 jury trials including homicide, environmental crimes and fraud cases. He received commendations from the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, the San Jose City Council and the California District Attorneys Association for his work as a prosecutor.
As President of the California Prosecutors Association, Mr. Shore championed successful statewide legislative campaigns that included enacting Megan’s Law reform and protecting the privacy of public officials. He was a gubernatorial appointee to the State of California’s Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Commission and served under both Governors Schwarzenegger and Davis. Former California Attorney General Bill Lockyer also appointed him to the California Task Force on Home Security for Public Safety Officials where he served as chief negotiator for labor agreements and handled employment issues.
