Sideman & Bancroft is proud to announce that Michael Hewitt, associate attorney and leader of the Firm’s Blockchain and Digital Assets Practice Group, has been recognized with the Outstanding Barrister Award from The Bar Association of San Francisco.
The award celebrates Michael’s significant contributions to the Barristers Intellectual Property & Internet Law Section, where he has served as co-chair of the Executive Committee for the past two years. During his tenure, Michael played a pivotal role in envisioning and launching the Barristers Intellectual Property and Internet Law Symposium, now in its second year and a vibrant addition to the Barristers Club programming. His steady and collaborative leadership has helped foster greater engagement and enthusiasm among section members.
In addition to his work with the Barristers Club, Michael is deeply involved in the broader intellectual property and blockchain communities. At Sideman & Bancroft, he works with clients to protect their brand portfolio through unique and effective enforcement mechanisms. He is also a member of the Brand Integrity and Innovation Group and Litigation and Appeals Group, and serves on the Board of the Blockchain Law for Social Good Center at the University of San Francisco School of Law.
