Jay Weill joins panel discussion on “Civil and Criminal Employment Tax Enforcement” at the 2015 Meeting of the California Tax Bar

The panel will examine the heightened focus by the Department of Justice and IRS on employment tax enforcement and collection. The panel will address notifications of delinquencies, the treatment of Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), trust fund recovery penalty assessments, civil injunctions, suits to collect, and criminal investigations and prosecutions. The panelists will also outline the procedure for employment tax enforcement actions, discuss recent developments, and share what practitioners can expect to see in the future.
