Graduation from law school today is often fraught with anxiety. Student loan debt is high, entry-level positions are hard to come by, and high salaries and frequent pay raises are no longer a given. In short, law students need an increasingly sophisticated toolkit to succeed in today’s competitive legal market. To help prepare the next generation of lawyers, we called on experts from both sides of the academic divide—law school v. law firm—to discuss what recent graduates really need to know to be successful in the professional world.
