Five Sideman & Bancroft lawyers delivered pro bono litigation training throughout the summer of 2021 to the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley (LFSV).
LSFV advances justice in the Silicon Valley area by providing services to underrepresented individuals. Its team of lawyers, social workers, staff and pro bono volunteers “find stable homes for abused and neglected children, help people living with chronic illnesses access the benefits they need to remain healthy and self-sufficient, provide low-income people access to safe and affordable housing and address a number of other critical issues including domestic violence, discrimination, human trafficking, mental health and more,” according to the foundation.
Partners Zac Alinder, Louis Feuchtbaum, Richard Nelson, Lyndsey Heaton and Ian Boyd delivered the trainings, which covered litigation skills to help the foundation provide crucial legal services to support the local community.
The firm is proud to have partnered with LSFV in its important mission and is honored to have been invited to deliver the trainings, which are in line with the firm’s dedication to pro bono work and public service. Sideman & Bancroft has a robust pro bono policy that encourage its lawyers to provide at least 50 hours a year of pro bono services to those in need.
