The rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process. Presented in tiers, the rankings give designations to firms in 75 major practice areas nationally and in 127 practice areas regionally. To be eligible, a firm must first have a lawyer recognized in The Best Lawyers in America©, which recognizes the top five percent of lawyers in private practice in the United States. Sideman & Bancroft has eight attorneys listed in the most recent edition of Best Lawyers.
The “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on the highest number of participating firms and client votes received to date, with more than 15,000 firms in various areas of legal practice. The rankings include over 15,500 eligible firms, 15,130 metro firms and 2,100 national firms in 188 regional specialties.
