Three New Associates Join Sideman & Bancroft’s San Francisco Office

Sideman & Bancroft LLP is pleased to announce the addition of three new attorneys: Sheila B. Bridges, Nicholas M. Costanza and Myles L. Gutenkunst.

Sheila Bridges joins as an associate in the Estate Planning group, where she will counsel families and individuals in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, charitable gift planning, and estate and trust administration. Prior to joining Sideman, she worked at Cooley in San Francisco and Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Boston. Ms. Bridges earned her law degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 2004. She also has a Master’s in Government from Cornell University and a Master of Philosophy in Gender Studies from the University of Cambridge.

Nicholas Costanza joins as an associate in the Brand Integrity and Innovation, Intellectual Property, and Litigation and Appeals groups. He will handle all aspects of brand protection, including trademark registration, counseling and anti-counterfeiting enforcement. Mr. Costanza joined Sideman & Bancroft as an intern in the Intellectual Property group in 2014. He earned his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Costanza worked as a summer associate in the Employment Group at Burnham Brown in Oakland and as a summer law clerk in the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office in Martinez.

Myles Gutenkunst joins as an associate in the Brand Integrity and Innovation, Business, and Intellectual Property groups. Mr. Gutenkunst will work with business entities in connection with trademark searching and clearance, trademark enforcement and portfolio management, and general corporate matters. Mr. Gutenkunst joined Sideman & Bancroft as an intern in the Intellectual Property group in 2014. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gutenkunst worked at a boutique San Francisco-based private investment firm, and at an early stage payments technology startup. Mr. Gutenkunst earned his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law
