Sideman & Bancroft Partner, James Shore, will be traveling to Seoul, South Korea to attend the 15th International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference held from September 19th – 21st. He will be facilitating the panel, “Borderless Thieves – Innovative Solutions Working With Online Platforms”, on September 21st. This year’s conference is co-hosted by INTERPOL and the Korean National Police Agency in partnership with Underwriters Laboratories.
A significant aspect of Shore’s practice is the representation of corporate crime victims in the conducting of internal and external investigations, with the goal of referring individuals and entities who have committed crimes against the corporations to law enforcement agents and prosecutors, and in then seeking restitution recoveries on behalf of his corporate clients. His work in this area has focused on crimes involving counterfeiting, major frauds, employee frauds, and computer intrusions involving his clients.
