The ABA Section of Taxation presents the annual 2024 Mid-Year Tax Meeting taking place January 18 – 20 in San Francisco, California. San Francisco tax attorney, Travis Thompson, serves as the chair of the Tax Practice & Technology Committee which will be sponsoring two panels on Friday, January 19th.
The first panel, “Ethical Issues and Best Practices Incorporating Non-Lawyer Team Member in Client Representation” will be a joint session co-sponsored with the Standard of Tax Practice Committee. The second panel, “The Power of Metadata: Challenging Penalties under Sec. 6751(b) What to Look for, Ask For, and How to Challenge the Presumption of Regularity” will follow at 1:15 PM.
