Sideman & Bancroft LLP is pleased to announce that the World Trademark Review recognized three of the firm’s partners, Ian Boyd, Beatrice Martinet, and Kelly McCarthy, in its 2019 listing of the world’s leading trademark practitioners. Each year, the World Trademark Review 1000 recognizes leading national and international trademark practitioners through an extensive research process involving over 1,500 interviews with brand owners and trademark specialists across the globe.

The 2019 guide recognizes Mr. Boyd for both trademark litigation and prosecution. “He handles cases of vital importance to his clients and really takes ownership of his matters.” Clients praise his skillful problem-solving, and “candid approach” noting he is “always giving clear-cut and realistic advice.”

Ms. Martinet, licensed to practice in both the European Union and California, and specializing in cross-border matters, is lauded by clients as “incredibly effective and wonderful to work with” and they appreciate that she “becomes an integral part of your team.”

Her clients commend Ms. McCarthy as “top drawer when it comes to prosecution. She has a thorough understanding of trademark law and the procedural intricacies of prosecuting trademarks.” They value that she “grasps business objectives and frames her approach in light of them. Kelly also thinks strategically and understands how a multinational corporation can use trademarks and branding to its advantage.”

Sideman & Bancroft Managing Partner Jeffrey Hallam said “We are honored that clients have recognized Ian, Beatrice and Kelly for their experience, client focus and tireless efforts, as they epitomize the results-driven emphasis of our Brand Integrity and Innovation Group.”
