We are pleased to announce the opening of our new office in New York, expanding our capabilities and bringing our expertise closer to our clients on the East Coast. Our new office will expand the offerings of the Firm’s Advertising, Marketing and Entertainment Group, Brand Integrity and Innovation Group, and Intellectual Property Group. Leading the New York office is Kristin Lia. Kristin brings over a decade of experience advising clients on all aspects of advertising, marketing, and intellectual property law, including creative campaigns, marketing communications, social media, IP clearance, and talent engagement. She has extensive experience in developing and executing brand protection programs to address counterfeit or infringing products.

Prior to joining Sideman & Bancroft, Kristin worked for a New York City-based intellectual property boutique and served as in-house counsel at NBC Universal, Authentic Brands Group, Gap, and Twitter. She received her J.D. and LL.M. in intellectual property from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and is admitted to the bar of the state of New York and the Southern District of New York. Kristin is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Fashion Law Initiative at New York Law School.
